HFG Assists at Aids Walk 2004

On July 18, 2004, HFG members joined tens of thousands of participants for the 18th annual AIDS walk San Francisco held in Golden Gate Park.

According to the SF Aids Foundation, nearly 22 million women, men and children have died from AIDS, about 40 million people are currently living with HIV, and nearly 5 million are infected each year. The walk raised over $3 million for the SF AIDS Foundation and other AIDS related organizations. We at HFG were glad to be able to volunteer and get down and dirty for a number of hours picking up garbage on the clean-up committee to restore Golden Gate Park to its initial state. We were proud and honored to participate in such an important community event.
